WATER REGULATIONS TMV3 SCHEME
ADVISORY SERVICE

All sanitary fittings that deliver water from a public mains water supply The TMV scheme, administered by NSF International, certifies that
must comply with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations (1999) TMV3-designated thermostatic mixing valves (TMVs) comply with

These fittings must be of an 'appropriate quality and standard' of healthcare premises. The Department of Health's HTM 04 01
and must not contaminate the water or cause wastage. specifies that Type 3 valves must comply with D08 requirements.
Products that are WRAS approved demonstrate this compliance
and are recognised by all water suppliers in the UK. TMV2-designated thermostatic mixing valves are compliant
with BS EN 1111 (high pressure) and/or 1287:1999 (low pressure),
as required by UK Building Regulations Part G to reduce the risk
of scalding in domestic or other domestic type situations.
